known as the "Blue Devil" and SS for at least the past five years has now been officially designated as the ZR1. The new monster from Bowling Green has revived the ZR1 designation for the first time since the C4-based original faded away in 1995.
Continue reading "Detroit 2008: The King is back atop the hill - 2009 Corvette ZR1"

We already knew that a production version of the CS Concept BMW debuted at the Shanghai Auto Show was in the automaker's product plans. Dubbed 'Gran Turismo', the four-door technological tour de force took a serious step toward reality today when BMW announced that Gerhard Richter, a manager at BMW M GmbH, is taking over control of the car's development. While he's adding that little bit of M flair to the Gran Turismo, Albert Biermann will be taking his place developing M models for the rest of us to enjoy. While BMW didn't release any real details about the production version of the Gran Turismo, it did say that the car "will round the BMW product range upward as important technology carriers." That's the broken English of our translation, but you get the point. Like we said before, it'll be a technological tour de force.[Source: BMW via Zercustoms]Gallery: BMW Concept CS

    category : Automotive
Gone are the days when car alarms were simple noise-making devices, designed to go off when someone disturbed a vehicle (as when trying to steal it). Because of the growing ineffectiveness of purely ?loud sound? alarms, manufacturers are graduating to more intelligent systems.

Several studies have shown that people, especially in congested cities, have stopped responding to car alarms. This is because most car alarms are set off not accidentally by passersby or by trucks and other vehicles that cause the ground to vibrate. This indifference radically diminishes the theft prevention capabilities of car alarms.

Car alarms are now shifting from just plain sound-making devices into smarter, more interactive forms. Manufacturers are continuously developing ?immobilizers? that shut down the car?s engine when someone forces the doors open and starts the car without using authorized access methods (such as car keys or pass codes). Other forms of immobilizers are controlled using the same technology used in text messaging or SMS ? once the owner finds out that his car is missing, he simply presses a button or calls a relay station to activate the car?s immobilizer. The stolen car then stops wherever it is.

Some car manufacturers now add in vehicle tracking systems. These nifty gadgets enable the police to trace stolen cars. Note that both of these gadgets are still quite expensive.

Manufacturers have yet to find ways to mass produce and them at more affordable prices.
While hybrid immobilizers and tracking systems protect against car napping, they still do not protect against vandalism or theft. In these cases, it?s still a good old fashion car alarm that will do the trick. This is probably why many car owners still can?t let go of the trusty device.

Car Alarms provides detailed information on Car Alarms, Car Security Alarms, Car Alarm Systems, Best Car Alarms and more. category : Automotive
Even with all the current safety precautions and rules and regulations currently implemented, car accidents continue to rise in numbers. Public awareness has increased due to the various public campaigns that have been arranged for this purpose in recent times, but car accidents still happen much too frequently.

Accidents may happen due to a defect in the car or due to reckless driving of the driver. Of course, it could be possible that accidents occur due to the fault of another driver even when the injured party has been following the rules. Even though it is practically impossible to expect everyone to follow the rules and regulations while on the road, it would certainly make some difference if all of them try.

The highest percentage of car accidents occur when the driver is a teenager or when the cars, such as some badly manufactured sports utility vehicles, roll over. Car manufacturers must take care when releasing new vehicles into the market, as profits are not everything. The safety of the customer must be first and foremost in mind while manufacturing a car. Some cars tend to roll over for no apparent reason and can cause disasters as a result. Before buying a car, it is wise to shop around and look for a company or a manufacturer with a good reputation rather than a popular brand name.

As mentioned, most car accidents are due to reckless driving. This is often due to teenagers who do not follow simple safety rules such as wearing a seat belt. Even though this might seem trivial when first mentioned, it might prove to be life threatening when involved in an actual accident.
Even when the driver follows the rules, another driver might crash from rear end or head on causing a lot of damage. Some drivers who do not follow proper lane rules may collide sideways with other cars when in a hurry to move faster or overtake the car in front. As mentioned, rollovers are another major cause for accidents with no fault on part of the driver. Faulty cars as well as reckless driving can sometimes result in pile-ups, especially on freeways and expressways.

Car Accidents provides detailed information about car accidents, car accident injuries, car accident lawsuits, and more. Learn some quick tips to help you easily maintain your car.

1. Change the oil every 3000 miles or 3 months. This is the most important thing you can do to protect your car. If you cannot change it that often have your mechanic change your oil with synthetic oil. It lasts much longer and will allow you to go longer between oil changes.

2. Have your brakes checked as soon as they begin to squeal. If you replace them as soon as they become worn you will save your vehicle any further damage. If brake pads wear down too much they can damage your rotors or drums.

3. When your radiator reservoir becomes low add premixed antifreeze. You can now buy antifreeze premixed to the correct 50/50 ratio. It might seem like you are wasting money by paying for water but it will save you time and ensure that your vehicle receives the correct ratio of antifreeze to water. The right balance is important to protect your engine and provide proper cooling.

That's it for now. category : Automotive
Tip 1 - Pick your time. If you can possibly help it, don't sell your car after Christmas, when no one has any money. Consider holiday periods: will the people be in town or away. Sometimes this can work in your favour because if people are not at work they have more time to look for cars, and they are usually cashed up with nothing to do.

On the reverse side, when buyers are busy working, they don't have the time to do a lot of car shopping, which can make negotiating easier.

Additionally for this reason, if you get a buyer to come on a week-night, it is unlikely he can compare yours to other cars - which can sometimes work in your favour.

Tip 2 - First Impressions are everything Just like you are going on a date - first impressions are everything. Get all the rubbish and junk out of it. Deodorize it. Wash it, clean it.

Tip 3 - As the good boy scout says. Be prepared. Get your paperwork in order. Find the spare keys. You don't want to be rushing around at the last minute, just when the buyer is ready to go for it. You can't find something. He may just say, he'll get back to you. Believe me, it happens. So get organized before hand and you'll have a much smoother run of it.

See my other articles for more tips.

Graeme Sprigge is the webmaster of SellMyCarForCash.Com, a website dedicated to enlightening you on how to get the most for your car in a private sale.

    category : Automotive
In a driving context, most of the decisions that you take and the techniques that you employ, will have both an economic and a safety impact. The decision to take driving lessons is really a simple one but one that will have far reaching consequences well into the future. Most, if not all, poor or dangerous habits in today?s drivers stem from the lack of professional tuition at the outset. In this second in a series of articles designed to assist today is learner drivers we will have a look at the benefits in taking Professional Tuition.

1. Taking lessons will greatly improve your chances of staying safe and accident free since providing you retain what you have been taught, you will be probably better than many motorists who have been driving for considerably longer. Lack of sufficient training, or even no training at all which is common in Ireland, will inevitably lead to accidents at a very early stage in the driving career. Accidents are to be avoided at all costs. After all isn?t the safety of the driver, the passengers and other road users the paramount priority.

2. A course of lessons at the start of your driving career and not one month from your Driving Test, will give you the confidence you need to continue the learning process, and will form the foundation for safe motoring.

3. Taking a course of lessons will give you the chance to be accepted by an insurance company for your first Insurance policy. In fact most companies will insist on a minimum number of lessons completed by a recognised school, before a son or daughter will be admitted onto a Parent?s policy.

4. On a very topical note, the Irish Insurer Hibernian, in conjunction with the Institute of Advanced Motorists, has extended its successful Ignition scheme to provisional license holders since January 2005.Learner drivers that pass the one hour driving assessment, will be offered a 21% reduction on their insurance. This is a substantial reduction for any new driver, particularly young males under 25 years of age, and well worth achieving. Just being in the possession of a provisional license will not suffice to pass this test. A course of lessons will be needed in order to achieve the required standard and the test should not be booked until quite a high level of both competence and confidence has been reached.

5. Passing the Department of Transport Driving Test, sooner rather than later, will result in further reductions in already high Insurance costs. Lessons taken just before the Driving Test will not cut it in today is Test environment; there is just too much to learn if one wants to be successful first time out.

6. The long waiting list for the Irish Driving Test is a great inconvenience for many learner Drivers and also their Driving Instructors. The long wait is accentuated by the huge numbers of learners who do not prepare adequately with a professional school and then are forced to re sit their Test sometimes several times over. Career aspirations can easily be affected if the journey to a full License is overly prolonged.

7. Obtaining a full driving license promptly will speed up the reduction in your insurance premiums via your annual no claims bonus, providing of course you are not involved in any accidents.

8. As a fully licensed Driver you will have much greater opportunity to shop around for a competitive insurance quote, since there are only a very few companies who will insure provisional license holders and then only at a huge premium.

9. As an addition to item number 4 as a fully licensed Driver, you may apply for the more advanced Hibernian Ignition course, providing you are in your first five years of driving .This is a full day course, the cost of which can be recouped, if you pass the practical driving assessment at the end of the day. The reduction in insurance premium for the successful candidate can be upwards of 30%, so again very worthwhile .Drivers in this category should take a refresher course with a driving school to ensure that any bad habits or techniques are eradicated. Once again it is worth pointing out that the length of your driving experience is not a guarantee of success unless you started on the right foot to begin with!

10. If, in the early days of your working life you are unlucky enough to find yourself jobless through either, takeovers, cutbacks or closures, a full Driving License will enable you to pick up an interim job very quickly while you regroup and examine your future options. There is a shortage of drivers to fill current vacancies in Europe, particularly in the commercial sector so there are great opportunities for young qualified drivers who have been well trained.

Both career and promotional opportunities abound for the fully licensed driver in any organisation. Faced with two candidates of similar qualifications, an employer will naturally favour the person with the full license pretty much every time.

About the Author

Robin Piggott is a professional Driving Instructor who runs Astral Driving School in Limerick, Ireland. The many benefits in taking Driving lessons are both obvious and not so obvious. To help the undecided learner driver make an informed decision and to get a head start, they should check out his web site and blog for the latest developments in the Driving Scene in Ireland. http://www.astralmotoring.ie
http://astralmotoring.blogspot.com

By : Robin Piggott

    category : Automotive
Chrysler was once admired for its toughness even at a point where the atmosphere is attracting slumping sales and massive losses. Nonetheless, according to some analysts, it seems that Chrysler has lost its protective cloak and eventually been inflicted with the so-called 'Detroit disease'.

Automotive reports are showing that Chrysler will lose $1.5 billion in the third quarter, about more than twice what it had expected beforehand. This loss is brought about by the slow sales of gas-guzzling trucks and SUVs.

According to Tom Appel, editor of Consumer Guide Automotive, "The company has been hit especially hard by the public?s growing desire for smaller, fuel-efficient cars. But the issue may be more one of a perception than a reality."

I think Chrysler?s being hurt by a general impression that its large and hitherto well-received cars like the Chrysler 300 and the Charger are not very fuel-efficient, and so there?s a bit of a backlash,? Appel added.

Chrysler President and CEO Tom LaSorda said that the company intends to become more competitive internationally with a portfolio of smaller cars. Were addressing those issues and moving our product portfolio to a mix that?s more in line with the recent realities and market trends, LaSorda elaborated.

"But while new products are important, Chrysler, like Ford and GM, needs to do a better job of managing its car and truck inventories with flexible manufacturing processes like those used by Asian manufacturers," said Kevin Reale, research director for AMR Research.

Analysts are also saying that Chrysler lineup has other problems. One problem is its limited offer in the midsize SUV market. On one hand, the sales of Dodge Durango have dropped off abruptly. To circumvent the decline in sales, the automaker is modifying the Chrysler auto parts to set forth a striking lineup.

New Chrysler products that will be launched this year include Sebring sedan, Jeep Compass, Jeep Patriot and compact Dodge Caliber. Dodge is about to launch the mid-size Nitro SUV, so that will help them in the fuel economy perception area, but when it comes to minivans someone has to come up with something new, Appel added. The expectation is that the new Dodge Caravan and Chrysler Town & Country minivans will be that new thing, but their release is still some time away they are not supposed to come out until mid-2008.

As a manager of one of the largest auto store in Springfield,Massachusetts, Sarah has extensive expertise on auto parts and automotives in general. category : Automotive
Here are some tips on saving money when buying a car:

1. Don't be fooled when dealers offer to sell you a super paint sealant that cost $40. Real superior paint sealants are only used by the U.S. military, used on their Aegis Media Towers. What they might be selling is just cheap car wax.

2. Don't pay for rust proofing or fabric protection because you can get one your own by buying Scotch Guard.

3. Don't get your extended warranty from you car dealer because you can get them free and no obligation quote from 1 Auto Warranty Source. You can save $900 to $1500 by doing this.

4. The alarm system that the dealer wills sell is definitely inferior and has a higher cost. Instead look in your phone books for alarm dealers to save you more money.

5. Buy your accessories from other accessories shops because the dealers will pile up on the accessories. They also add up too much profit margin and this is where they make big bucks.

6. Get a firm-out-of door quote from the dealer first before discussing how much are your quotes. Because the dealer might be able to give a lower quote than what you have researched.

7. When buying a used car having a CARFAX report is really helpful. Carfax History reports reveals all the little mischief that the used car has been in. Consider it as a car's conduct report.

8. Dealer prep is a scam that you must never pay. You must also never pay prep fees as they are already included in the MSRP and you'll end up paying it twice.

9. Valuation fees and Tariff fees are other fees that are designed to get more money out of you. Don't pay for them too.

10. The dealer cost you pay should not be more than 5 percent, because five percent is already a decent commission rate for those dealers.

You may freely reprint this article provided the following author's biography (including the live URL link) remains intact:

About The Author

John Mussi is the founder of Direct Online Loans who help homeowners find the best available loans via the http://www.directonlineloans.co.uk website.

By : John Mussi

    category : Automotive
Almost every person in the world has a craze for car-driving and it is the only reason that cars are increasing at a very rapid pace. Driving a car is actually very joyful experience. But it becomes dangerous in case you don't follow safety rules. Here are some tips:-

1. Learn from an Expert

Take your driving lessons from an expert and you will learn how to drive a car in a good way. Never hit the rush area till you become quite confident of your driving. Drive slowly and with extra care at least for two months.

2. Follow the Rules

Don't invite death by ignoring the traffic rules. Follow the signals at the crossing. Violating the rules not only create confusion among others but also cause accidents. Rules are for your safety, and to maintain discipline on the roads.

3. Keep Your Car Fit

Like your body keep your car fit and healthy. Get it serviced from an expert engineer or workshop regularly. Before leaving your house be sure that headlight, indicators and brakes are working properly. And also ensure that the spare wheel is in good condition and air-tight.

4. Use Low Beam

Don't use high beam of your headlight till it is absolutely necessary. High beam blurs the vision of other drivers and they may hit you in confusion.

5. Beware of Mobile Phones

Mobile phones have probably become the biggest safety hazard in modern world. People can neither leave them behind nor resist the lure of using when it rings. While driving using a mobile is dangerous. You may escape penalty from traffic policeman but you may not be able to escape putting your and others' life in danger. To attend a mobile temporarily park your car on a safe side or reply the call later.

6. Indicate other Drivers

Do not take sudden turns or change lanes without using the indicators. It will help other motorists to drive safely and not to hit you. In case the indicators of your car are not working use the signals of your hand.

7. Be a Nice Human Being

Whenever there is any ambulance, fire tender or police car loosen the grip of your feet on the accelerator and let the other vehicle pass safely. Behave like a good and caring citizen on the road.

8. Overtake Cautiously

In case you want to overtake any vehicle indicate with two flickers of your headlight whether it is day or night. If needed indicate flickers again. Overtake when there is enough space to surge ahead or another vehicle allows you. Don't endanger your or others' life by rushing forward mindlessly like a movie hero. You are not even a stuntman and required by your family to reach home safely.

9. Keep a Safe Distance

Always drive your car keeping a safe distance from the vehicle running in front of you otherwise a sudden braking from other vehicle may cause collision and instead of the cozy bed at your home you may land up on the bed of a hospital. The more the speed the more distance you have to maintain. The distance will help you to stop your car safely.

10. Don't Panic if Car Breaks Down

If your car breaks down on the way push it to a safe side of the road. Without hesitation take the help of any passerby if necessary. Leaving the car on the middle of road will obstruct traffic as well as endanger the safety of your car. Now try to get help from a nearby place. Keep phone numbers of some emergency help services in your diary or mobile. Use warning light till the car is repaired.

11. Park Safely

Park in a safe place preferably a guarded one. Be sure window panes are closed. Push the handbrake up. Keep the car engaged in gear. Be sure that you have drawn out the ignition key. Do lock the car before leaving. Use special security lock for extra safety. You will have a cooler mind and a better sleep.

And, of course, a happier life with your family.

Anandrahi

Trained thousands of persons to get great jobs, improve personality and achieve goals in business.

Best-selling e-Books written by Anandrahi: 1. category : Automotive
Driving cross country, it?s considered the ultimate road trip. Having the independence of seeing the Country in a way that is not possible by taking a plane is a very satisfying and liberating experience. The drive can also be a tough one. For those who haven?t driven for long periods of time, the trip can be grueling unless you?re mentally and physically prepared. I have made the trip four times, each time getting easier gaining experience of the do?s and don?ts related to the drive. Your trip needs to be well planned out starting with what time of the year you want to travel to how much weight is in the car. These factors will seriously affect your trip and can determine how long it will take you to get to your destination.

In my experience, spring and fall are best for traveling. Your car will perform better in milder weather; you?ll burn less oil and get better gas mileage not running your air conditioner if traveling in the summer heat which is extremely hard on your car, and you?ll also avoid ice and snow if traveling in the winter. Roads are a lot rougher in the winter since icy roads and snow take their toll creating potholes and other road hazards.

Milder weather will also make your trip easier if you happen to blow out a tire or run into some car trouble. Sitting in a car that does not start in the heat of the summer or cold of winter is not fun. If you happen to breakdown, you can still enjoy being outdoors while waiting for assistance.

Checking your tires for correct pressure and foreign objects like nails or worn treads is a necessity before starting your journey. If you see anything out of the ordinary on your tires, have them checked or replaced by a mechanic before the trip. And of course, you absolutely must check your spare. Your spare will be a life saver if you blow a tire in the middle of nowhere. Next, an oil change. During the course of the 3000 plus miles you?ll be driving, you?ll have used up the recommended duration of a normal oil change interval in a matter of a few days. A few extra quarts of oil is a good idea if your car is burning more than normal amount of oil. In the same category as oil, the other vital fluids in your car should be checked; radiator, brake, power steering and even windshield wiper fluid must be checked and filled if low.

Now that your car is in shape to make the journey, you need to pack for the trip. Depending on who is traveling with you, there are a few options to consider. Comfortable clothes like sweats are ideal since you?ll be sitting for long periods of time. Having a light weatherproof jacket is also needed. Flashlight, batteries, a gallon of water are a must have. Getting a gas card is something to look into, having a separate card that is not in your wallet but in your glove compartment is a smart idea just in case you happen to loose your wallet, you can still buy gas and get to your destination.

For more information about driving tips, visit the Ultimate Auto Network www.ultimateautonetwork.com Justin Howley is writer and owner of Ultimate Auto Network. category : Automotive
As used cars age, finding them for sale in good condition becomes increasingly difficult. At the same time, they continuously lose marketable value. How can we find good values when purchasing, and get a fair price when it comes time to sell? Continue reading to find out...

Buying

When buying any used car, overall condition must be evaluated and weighed against the asking price. This includes the condition of interior, exterior, and mechanical components. Common issues to watch for on used cars follow:

Check the Interior for:

Fading or Cracking Dashboard, steering wheel, pillars
Carpet damage, spills under seats, shoe wear
Strong musty odor, especially during HVAC operation
Worn seats including adjustment, buttons, upholstery, cushions, air support
Unevenly worn pedals indicating possible mistreatment
Smoke damage including falling headliner, used ashtrays or lighter, burns, thick film on glass or other smooth surfaces
Malfunctioning gauges, moonroof, windows, vanity lights, controls, electric accessories
Leakage under dash including clutch and brake fluid near pedals, coolant near floor vents, water

Check the Exterior for:

Rust around rocker panels (especially under ground effects of SC), wheel wells, under floor pan, doors, suspension components, spoilers, trunk
Signs of accident damage such as repainting, bondo, ill fitting body panels, frame/unibody denting
Damaged paint and clearcoat especially bumpers, ground effects, and roof
Damaged or missing trim, molding, lamp assemblies (esp LED taillights and yellowing lenses) badging, ground effects, air dam, antenna, windows
Wheels damaged or bent from curb rubbing and other abuse
Sagging doors due to hinges worn from excessive load bearing

Modern vehicles have many complex mechanical components, and condition should be verified by qualified personal. If you encounter the following symptoms or others you are unfamiliar with, it is wise to seek an expert:

Unusual sounds such as whining, whistling, howling, grinding, rubbing, rattling, knocking, tapping, or anything else which stands out. Listen in all places while car is idling and driving including, underhood, suspension, transmission, exhaust, rear of vehicle, ect
Unusual odors such as strong sweet smell, burning, gasoline
Uneven engine idle, backfire, or misfire
Transmission grinding, slipping, or hesitation while driving or changing gears
Clutch engagement near end of pedal travel, excessive pedal play, slipping or revving when shifting/accelerating
Excessive engine or shifter movement, indicating possible torn mounts Spongy pedal, whistling, grinding, or shaking when braking, fading or low stopping power
Low, dirty, or contaminated fluids especially coolant, oil, and automatic transmission
Suspension leaning, excessive bouncing, harsh ride, pulling, poor handling, or dog tracking.
Smoke from exhaust or underhood, excluding thin light-colored condensation buildup

Some minor issues are to be expected with a used purchase, and the price you pay should be adjusted accordingly. A common method of pricing used vehicles is to determine the fair market value then deduct the average cost of repairs. Tools to determine fair market value include the Kelley blue book and points of sale such as newspaper classifieds, ebay, and autotrader magazines. Price of a used vehicle may be influenced by rare models or packages. Car clubs specializing in the rare model can offer help in these cases.

Selling

When selling your car, several factors should be considered to receive the best price.

Level of cosmetic and mechanical maintenance
Logs of maintenance, repair, and modification history
The type of person buying your car, and where to find them

A car which is clean, well maintained, and in good overall condition leaves a positive impression on potential buyers. This concept is clearly demonstrated by car dealers when you visit their used car lots. Also, presenting logs or receipts to help buyers verify your cars history will increase their level of confidence when it comes time to make a purchase from you.

This article and more great topics for the automotive enthusiast can be found at http://thunderbirdinfo.blogspot.com

By : Kevin V

    category : Automotive
You didn't expect it, but no one ever does. An auto accident can be one of the most frightening and nerve-wracking experiences you'll face. If you've been injured in an auto accident, the situation can be even more frightening, with lost time at work and mounting bills, pain and suffering, and other physical, legal, and financial burdens. It's important to keep a level head and reach out to someone who can help you through this difficult and trying time.

The moments after the auto accident are the most critical. If you've been injured, be sure to seek medical attention. Even if you don't think you've been injured immediately after the auto accident, while still at the scene, symptoms can appear hours or even days later. See a doctor right away to get checked out. Some internal injuries might not have any symptoms at all, but might be fatal in a few hours or days. Seeking medical attention after the auto accident could be the most important step you take.

One of the most common injuries in an auto accident is whiplash. Watch out for some of these symptoms in particular, as they may not only indicate whiplash, but also a more serious concussion:

1.Headache (Possible concussion)

2.Neck pain and stiffness

3.Lack of range of motion in the neck

4.Numbness in arms and fingers

5.Dizziness (Possible concussion)

6.Blurred vision (Possible concussion)

7.Pain in jaw or face

8.Ringing in ears (Possible concussion)

9.Difficulty swallowing

It's not only important to seek medical help for your physical well-being, but delaying in seeking medical help could hinder your ability to reclaim damages later. It is possible for an insurance provider to claim that any injuries not treated immediately after an auto accident or at the scene of the auto accident happened later, apart from the events of the auto accident. So seek medical attention immediately to make things easier later, and for your piece of mind.

After the initial shock of the auto accident has worn off and you have taken the necessary steps, such as obtaining insurance information and filing a police report, you should contact your insurance company. No matter whose fault the auto accident appears to have been, you may be entitled to benefits through your own insurance policy. It's important to see if your policy has a Medical Pay plan. These often cover 100% of medical bills up to a limit regardless of fault. Injuries are often overlooked by the driver who is at fault because of the presumed financial hardship of getting treatment. The Medical Pay portion of the policy can alleviate this stress.

Next, it may be time to consider enlisting the help of a lawyer who specializes in this type of law. An auto accident lawyer is an attorney that helps to level the legal playing field after an auto accident by informing you of your rights and offering information on personal injury law and accident claims.

It's a good idea to seek the help of an attorney if you or anyone in your car has experienced a permanent injury or an injury that results in lost income from work or lost time at school. A lawyer can help to recover some of these damages by filing a claim against the party responsible for the injuries.

Being injured in an auto accident can be the beginning of a profoundly difficult time for you and your family, a time of lost income and physical pain. But there isn't any reason to make things worse by going it alone.

Rick Crosby is the webmaster and SEM for consultant for http://www.1800askgary.com To contact Rick Crosby directly, please call 727-490-5739.

By : Rick Crosby

    category : Automotive
Car collectors come in all shapes and sizes, not to mention demeanors and habits. Some collectors are content with one or two treasured pieces in their collection. Others, however, are more voracious and want to have as many as they can afford in their garages. The latter category always seem to be looking for that a specific classic car for sale; something they don't have but want to add to their ever-expanding collections. A classic car for sale is not all that hard to find, especially now that there are hundreds of classic car listings and websites for a prospective buyer to look through.

The first place to look when one seeks a classic car for sale is, naturally, online. There are several websites that cater to this market, each one having extensive listings of classics for sale, including such models as the 1971 Dodge Challenger 383, or the 1966 Ford Bronco. Most websites that cater to the classic car market have special options in their search system to help narrow down the results. Typically, these take the form of additional parameters, such as what year the car was made, which manufacturer is preferred, the location of the seller, and the zip code. These options help prospective buyers to find exactly what they are looking for at the budged that they have. For the most part, the ads on websites have pictures of the car being put on sale, in order to attract more potential buyers and show that the car is, indeed, in good aesthetic condition.

For those who have more time on their hands, the "classic car for sale" websites usually have their own real-world counterparts. These counterparts generally take the form of classified ads or magazine-like listings that collectors can subscribe to. The core of the concept is still there, though there are a few minor differences. One obvious difference is that these listings do not have the search feature that is so prominent on websites. The system the listings make use of is made as simple as possible by listing the cars alphabetically. However, the listings still include all the details that the sellers provide them, which includes pictures, for the most part. Other bits of common information between the two are contact information for the seller, the asking price, the make and model of the car, and the general condition of the car. Optional pieces of information are how many times it has been driven, the mileage accumulated, a general summary of the car's history, and any other piece of information that the seller may choose to divulge in the ad. One drawback of the listings is that they are not as up-to-date as their website counterparts are, due mainly to the nature and differences of the two different media involved.

Regardless of which method a collector uses, a classic car for sale is still something that he will seek out. There are as many people out there willing to give up their prized Impala or Cadillac as there are willing to pay good money to take it off their hands. It may take some time looking but eventually, if a classic car for sale is what you're looking for, you will inevitably find it in one listing or another.

For more valuable information on Classic Car For Sale, please visit http://classifieds.itrustmotors.com//cgi-bin/classifieds.cgi?db=classic

By : Harvey Ong
